A SEASON IN THE CONGO In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Rico Workshop Productions and producers Jackie Jeffries and Rico Speight will present Aime Cesaire’s “A SEASON IN THE CONGO” at the LION THEATRE at New York’s Theatre Row this fall. Fusing the mediums of film and theatre, Cesaire’s choral and cinematic stage narrative will be realized via live theatre, projected archival footage, HD video and expressive soundscapes and choreography.
